Diane Abbott MP, Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary, commenting on accusations that police officers have been using their position to sexually exploit people, said:

“These findings are deeply disturbing. We rightly expect the highest standards from the police when they are dealing with victims of crime or vulnerable people, so it is crucial that more is done to uncover the true extent of these abuses of power. 

“All forces should now treat allegations of this nature as cases of serious corruption.”
